Spiritual Repellent

Matthew 4:10-11
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

During the temptation of Jesus Christ, He is tempted at his lowest point. After fasting in the desert for 40 days He was starving. The enemy has a way of showing up at the “right time”, when we have hit our lowest point in life. When we may be impaired or for whatever reason be unable to make a decision in sound mind.

Why is this in the Bible?

God wants us to know this! Not only do we have the armor of God to “quench all of the fiery darts of the wicked one” but when we are in tune with the Word of God, resist the devil and he has to leave, in the name of Jesus Christ!!

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Do not be afraid when the attacks come, for God is with us!

Romans 8:31
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
